 TEAM AWARDS

 REGIONAL TOURNAMENT AWARDS

  • Core Values Award.  Presented to the team that best exemplifies the FLL Core Values. Judges will look for teams that work well together and focus on task specific activities.
  • Research Project Award.  Presented to the team whose research presentation covers all aspects of the project and has an in-depth knowledge of the topic. Creativity, innovative solution and sharing are all taken into consideration.
  • Robot Design Award.  Presented to the team whose understanding and application of sound mechanical principals produces the most solid, predictable, and dependable robotic design.
  • Robot Performance Award.  Presented to the team with the highest score in the first three rounds.
  • Judge's Award.  This is an open ended award determined by the Official Judging Panel. There are no special criteria for this award as each judging panel is looking for a one-of-a-kind inspirational story. Teams need only share their experiences with the judges for consideration.
  • Programming Certificate.  Presented to the team best demonstrating an in-depth understanding of sound programming principals and applications for unique or exceptional execution of the missions. 
  • Innovative Design Certificate.  Presented tot the team best demonstrating its ability to use a creative design, component, or unique strategy of play, or the most original approach to solving a robotic mission.
  • 1st & 2nd Place Head-to-head Robot Performance Certificates.  Presented to the 1st and 2nd place teams in the afternoon Head-to-Head elimination rounds.
  • Team Spirit.  Presented to the team best demonstrating the spirit of FIRST® by extraordinary enthusiasm, gracious professionalism, and support & encouragement of fellow teams.

 

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS

  • Champion Award.  Presented to the team who embodies the FLL values of community, positive role models, outreach, and sportsmanship is exceptional in each category. The State Champions will receive an invitation to a national event.
  • Core Values Award.  Presented to the team tha best exemplifies the FLL Core Values. Judges will look for teams that work well together and focus on task specific activities.
  • Research Project Award.  Presented to the team whose research presentation covers all aspects of the project and has an in-depth knowledge of the topic. Creativity, innovative solution and sharing are all taken into consideration.
  • Innovative Solution Award. Presented to the team whose research solution is innovative, creative and thoughtful.
  • Research Presentation Award. Presented to the team whose presentation both creative and well presented. 
  • Mechanical Design Award.  Presented to the team whose understanding and application of sound mechanical principals produces the most solid, predictable, and dependable robotic design.
  • Innovative Programming Award.  Presented to the team best demonstrating an in-depth understanding of sound programming principals and applications for unique or exceptional execution of the missions. 
  • Strategy and Innovation Award. Presented to the team best demonstrating its ability to use a creative design, component or unique strategy of play for the most original approach to solving the robotic missions.

  • Gracious Professionalism Award.  Presented to the team who has positively impacted their competitors. This team is nominated by their peers at the State Championship.
