Background Check Policy

Important Information for Parents: Background Checks
High Tech Kids arranges to have background checks performed on those volunteers (e.g., officials, judges, referees, event directors) that High Tech Kids recruits who may come in contact with your child during a tournament. However, High Tech Kids does not arrange background checks on coaches, mentors or others who may work with your child and his/her team throughout the season. It is your responsibility as a parent to ensure that background checks are performed on such individuals as you deem necessary.

 
Important Information for Coaches: Background Checks
Please inform your participants’ parents that High Tech Kids arranges to have background checks performed on volunteers (e.g., officials, judges, referees, event directors) that High Tech Kids recruits who may come in contact with a child during a tournament. However, High Tech Kids does not arrange background checks on coaches, mentors or others who may work with a child and his/her team throughout the season. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure that background checks are performed on such individuals as they deem necessary.
